Peak current is the maximum current that the lithium pack can discharge for a fraction of a second (typically 100 milliseconds) during engine turnover. Starting (cranking) current is the sustained amperage delivered over a 2 to 3-second cycle to crank the engine. We specify both transparently based on temperature configurations.
What safety systems protect the jump starter from reverse polarity?
Our intelligent clamps include built-in mechanics: a high-power relay or back-feed blocking MOSFET network, combined with physical buzzer/LED indicators. If a user connects the clamps backward, the internal MCU detects the negative voltage mismatch and keeps the circuit open, protecting both the vehicle and the starter.
