The design of our Self-Healing Low Voltage Parallel Capacitors utilizes an ultra-thin zinc-aluminum metallization layer vapor-deposited onto a heavy-duty polymer substrate. In the event of a dielectric puncture caused by overvoltage transience, the localized short-circuit current quickly vaporizes the metallization surrounding the fault spot. This self-healing process restores isolation within microseconds, maintaining normal operation without downtime.
Furthermore, each capacitor housing contains an integrated overpressure disconnector.
